Lugano, Switzerland - One of the must-go cities

Lugano, Switzerland (known also as Swiss) is the 9th largest city in Switzerland. The trip began in Milan, Italy :) We took the SBB train from Milan. There are trains from as early as 7.10am to 8.10pm in every hour. The last train is at 11.30pm. Journey to Lugano takes roughly about an hour and the train ticket price starts from €23.

The city centre is just 10 minutes walk from Lugano train station. Nevertheless, you could also opt for the cable car which is very reasonable; CHF1.10 for one way. It will bring you from Stazione Lugano - Piazza Cioccaro (the old city centre of the town).

Lugano is right at the border of Italy, which explains why Italian is the spoken language here. Nonetheless, English and German are widely spoken in Lugano.

For chocolate lovers, you might want to consider visiting the chocolate museum in Lugano! The Alprose Chocolate Museum opens daily from 9am to 5.30pm (on weekdays) and 4.30pm (weekends). The entrance fee is CHF3 for adults and only CHF1 for children aged 6 - 16 years old. Kids below 6 are granted free admission and the same goes to visitors/tourists in a group of at least 10 pax. Isn't is amazing! :)
